Q: Where do I check in? 

A: All guests, regardless of the property rented, check in at the Picard Realty Rentals office in the Silver Beach Condominium located @ 25350 Perdido Beach Boulevard, Orange Beach, AL. 36561

Q: What time is check in and check out?

A: Check in is BETWEEN 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM. We do our best to have your unit ready by 3:00 PM but cleaning a condo unit takes more time than cleaning a single hotel room. Check out is @ 10:00 AM.

Q: If I arrive early, can I check in?

A: If your condo is ready, we allow you to check in @ 1:00 PM. However, the cleaning schedule is determined in advance by the housekeeper and cannot be changed. NO EXCEPTIONS. We DO NOT give out keys to a unit until it is cleaned, so we suggest you do not purchase perishable groceries until you have your keys. We will not allow you to place any items in the unit until the unit is cleaned and cleared for check in.

Q: What if I arrive after office hours, on a Sunday or on a Holiday when the office is closed?

A: You will find your check in package, with keys enclosed, in the late arrival box located in front of the Picard Realty Rentals office @ Silver Beach Condominium.

Q: How old must I be in order to rent with Picard?

A: You must be 25 years of age or older and proof is required.

Q: Can we have more than 2 cars in the parking lot?

A: Due to limited space we can issue only 2 parking passes per unit regardless of the size of the unit. Some condo associations charge a registration fee for each vehicle and some do not. If your unit has such a fee, we include those charges on your reservation. Please be sure to advise us if you will have 2 cars. Absolutely no boats, trailers, R.V.s, buses, wave runners, etc. in any of the parking lots.

Q: When is payment due for my vacation rental?

A: You must make a down payment at the time of booking equal to 30% of the rent plus the $50 processing fee charged on each reservation. The balance is due 45 days prior to your arrival. If you book 45 days or less from your arrival date, you must make full payment of all charges at the time you book.

Q: What is the cancellation policy?

A: For reservations booked 45 days or less from your arrival date, there is no cancellation period and you will forfeit the full amount paid if you cancel for any reason. All reservations booked more than 45 days from the arrival date are subject to a non-refundable $50.00 processing fee plus a fee equal to 5% of the total down payment if canceled more than 45 days from your arrival date. If you cancel less than 45 days from the arrival date for any reason you will forfeit the full amount of all charges paid. NOTE: reservations which are made and held for 90 days, or longer, forfeit ALL AMOUNTS paid if canceled for any reason any time after 90 days from the date of booking.

Q: Do I receive a refund in the event of a Hurricane, natural disaster, illness, etc. which forces me to cancel or interrupt my vacation?

A: No. We do not refund for such unforeseen events.

Q: Do I need to bring linens, beach towels or household supplies?

A: Linens are provided but cannot be taken from your condo.  Every unit has a washer and dryer for the upkeep of the linens during your stay.  Starter items such as paper products, trash bags and individual soaps are provided for one time use.  Beach towels are not provided.

Q: Will our condo have a telephone and Wi-Fi?

A: All condos have telephones and free Wi-Fi.  All condos have free local calls and many have free long distance.  Check on line booking under your property page if you have a question about your condo.

Q: Where can I rent beach chairs and umbrellas?

A: Perdido Beach Services is licensed by the city to provide these services.  You may call 251-981-4807 or contact them at www.perdidobeachservices.com.

Q: Where do I take the trash?

A: Silver Beach Condos has a trash room on each floor straight across from the elevators. Emerald Key's trash must be carried out to the dumpster. All other condos have trash chutes on each floor. All trash must be bagged and securely tied before throwing them into the trash bins or into chutes.

Q: Are pets allowed? 

A: Some condos are pet friendly but only those marked PET FRIENDLY allow pets.  Picard Realty Rentals allowsonly one (1) dog under twenty (20) pounds.  Check our pet policy for rules and procedures.

Q: Can I take my pet on the beach?

A: No, the City of Orange Beach doesn't allow any pets on the beach. Failing to observe this law can lead to a fine of $500.00.

Q: What procedures do I follow on check out?

A: You must wash and put away all dishes, remove all trash and be sure the refrigerator is emptied. You are not required to wash and dry any towels or linens. Keys MUST be returned to Picard's rental office at Silver Beach Condominiums and returned to the front desk or, if the office is closed, placed through the key return slot (clearly marked) in the office window right next to the front doors.
